Cuzs Garage may not be old model Country Music but it is kin to it. Yea, it’s jacked up and turbo charged with the frame and engine coming from the traditional side. Steve Brooks, lead singer for Cuzs Garage, says it best when he explains, “Music should move people in their bodies and souls”, much the way the old country singers would deliver a song. You can tell he means it in the way he drives home each song he sings not only in the recording but live as well. “I believe in the fans first. I want them to be a part of the show, not just an audience”, and Steve backs up his words in every show. While starting out singing gospel songs in the church, he was also listening to his dad pick and sing country. This paved the way for Steve to set his wheels a spinning to Honky Tonks throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado. Meanwhile getting a thrill from the Southern Rock side and developing the combination of the two in his performance. And that’s when he collided into Junction Entertainment, management for Cuzs Garage, the fuel that ignites the band and keeps it moving.
Steve felt like he was burning his wheels and getting nowhere and was looking for some more traction in the music. Searching for some one to help out what was missing, he came across Jay McDonald, now personal manager of Cuzs Garage. He listened and knew just the mechanic that was needed to get it flying down the road. Cuzs Garage after years of design, tuned-up their hot rod country music in Nashville, TN at the Junction Recording Studio. Under the fabrication skills of producer John Sturdivant, Jr., the debut CD, “24 / 7” is due to hit the streets soon. Included in this deluxe hillbilly super sport package are songs written by Brad Davis, Larry Marrs, Sam Stricklin, Sturdivant, and by Steve himself.
